so tell me...

This blog is going to be pretty random as far as I can see at this point. I don't really know if there will be any organization to it, so we'll see what happens I guess. I'll probably just ramble about stuff I'm thinking about or things that have happened to me, or I might just make stuff up, I'm not really sure yet. So I hope I can keep it interesting, and I hope I can post new things somewhat regularly. Well anyways, enjoy!

Internships

So I've been casually looking around for internships as of late, and I'm not a big fan of trying to think so far into the future. I've never had an internship before, but it seems like something that would be beneficial to participate in, especially for engineers and such. But it's just so hard to be able to think that far in advance. If I could have it my way, I wouldn't start looking for internships until summer rolled around, but apparently that's when they typically start, so therefore I am beginning to look for them now. I am a pretty big fan of taking things as they come, so looking ahead is not really in my vocabulary. But nonetheless, I am trying my best to plan ahead.

I don't like that I have to take time to look for potential internships when I have enough school work to keep me busy already. It seems like people should come to me and ask me to partake of their internship that they have available. Like an internship draft of sorts. It may sound ridiculous, but I would absolutely love that. It would be great. I could just finish off the school year, and then someone would come to me with a great internship and I would go work for them over the summer. But I guess that doesn't happen very often, so I'm stuck looking for them instead of the other way around.

In case you were wondering, I think it would be really cool to get a job somewhere in the acoustical field. Something like an acoustical engineer or consultant or something like that. I have yet to find an internship at a company that works with acoustics, but I'm still looking. I just really want the internship that I find to be interesting, that's all I ask. It doesn't really matter what its field of work is as long as I enjoy it. But I guess the same could be said for most people.

Well, that's kind of what I've been thinking about lately, along with school work and closely related topics. Sorry if that was boring, but that's all I have to say. Until next time!
